Spectroscopy Dialog (File Parameters)

This dialog is used to load localizer images into a Browser using one of the following methods.

bullet

Loading Images and Raw Spectra Files

  1. If the File Selection Dialog or File Load dialog is not displayed, press Files...

  2. Load images through the Image Load dialog (See Load Images for details) or Load images through the File Selection Dialog .

    Important

It is important to load images before loading the raw spectra files.  If no images exist for this study, blank dummy images will need to be created with the proper header information.  Images can be blanked using the formula function in the Math dialog (For ,,=,0).  Header information can be modified using the Dicom Header dialog.

  3. Load a raw spectra file through the File Selection Dialog or the File Load Dialog.

    Note

Once the raw spectra is loaded, the spectra coordinates will be displayed in the footer of the Display Windows, instead of image pixel coordinates.

Dialog Items

bullet

Spectral Width

Enter a value for the Spectral Width of the raw spectral data.

bullet

Slice Number

Enter a value for the Slice Number to load from the P-file.

Note

When the Slice Number is changed, the location for that slice will be displayed from the localizer images. However, the location from the P-file will be used during processing.

bullet

Domain

bullet Select Time for time domain data.
bullet Select Frequency for frequency domain data.
bullet

Accession #

Enter a string for the Accession # to be used when saving Dicom images and files after Spectroscopic processing.  If left blank, this information will be retrieved from the P-file.

bullet

Cancel

Press Cancel to remove the File Parameters dialog.

Spectrosopy Load Dialog (Raw Spectra and Images)

bullet

Load Images

  1. Use the Directories list to locate the images.

    Note

Images will be named I.### for Genesis format images or will have a long period-separated numeric filename for Dicom format images.

  2. Press Ok, in the File Selection dialog, to load the images into the next available Browser. All images from the directory will be loaded, no partial selection is allowed.

Note

Only Genesis and Dicom images can be loaded through the File Selection dialog.  All other formats must be loaded using the Image Load dialog.

bullet

Load Raw Spectra

  1. Select G.E. 5.X P-files (SI)  in Format.

    Note

5.X format raw spectra files are named P#####.

Use the Directories list to locate the P-files.

     OR

Select G.E. LX P-files(SI) in Format.

    Note

LX format raw spectra files are named P#####.7.

The raw spectra files will be listed in the File Load dialog.

  2. Select one of the P-files, information will be displayed in the Spectroscopy dialog pertaining to that P-file.

  3. Enter the value for the Spectral Width in the Spectroscopy Dialog.

  4. Enter which Slice Number, in the Spectroscopy Dialog, to load from the P-file.

    Note

When the Slice Number is changed, the location for that slice will be displayed from the localizer images. However, the location from the P-file will be used during processing.

  5. Press Ok, in the File Selection dialog, to load the selected Slice Number from the P-File.
